Scott French
Scott French has been working as a professional artist for over 20 years. He focuses on figurative and landscape oil paintings that use tones and expressive brushstrokes to give his paintings a strong physical presence. French’s landscapes are inspired by the sensitivity and beauty of wide open spaces. He uses visual plains and shapes that intersect and overlap to create distance and depth. French hopes to capture a sense of awe that is our natural world. His figure paintings are an interpretation of the figure as an individual facing the struggles of everyday life. Sometimes serious, some times crazy, wild, and strange. Each must overcome the challenges placed before them while contemplating their very existence.
Scott is also represented by Thomas Deans Fine Art, Lovetts Gallery, and ArtSource Fine Art.. He has also shown in Nashville, TN, Palm Desert, CA, and Aiken, SC. He currently lives and works in Atlanta alongside his wife, Gwen Wong.
